Camping Trip Memories

Fundy, NB... During the weekend of Katrina.

It was a good time!... I would have included more pictures of the other 3 campers, but we didn't even have a picture of the two photographers, and the only picture I had of the 3rd camper was at a distance and out of focus.

Note to future campers: Remember to get a group picture before the event is over.

Here are some of the pictures that we *did* have.

Mother Nature's tender side

Bare trunks, free hands... we're all wet!

I wasn't sure what I should put as a caption for this photo. What sounds good?

Tame version:
When we discovered a large tree trunk protruding from a previously pristine pool, we couldn't help but get a little excited.

X-rated version *:
When we discovered a hard log had penetrated Matt's special spot, we couldn't help but get a little wet.

XXX-rated version *:
When we discovered Matt's special spot penetrated by an erect woody, we all got in on the action.

Good times

… Are almost through, as class-craziness starts again. Fortunately, we got to squeeze in our camping trip before the school year got the best of us. I’m hoping to post a few pics from the trip here, as soon as I can get them off my brother.

Also: I highly recommend this Wayne Brady skit from the Chappelle show, Grocery Store Wars, and Homestarrunner.com. Darren told me he had never heard of Homestarrunner.com, which as far as I know, is a crime against the internet culture. So… for those who haven’t seen it … go check out those crazy flash animations, play a few silly games, and definitely, check out the sbmail!!

Finally, my cousin just started up a blog of his own. He grew up with me, and is now doing big work for big businesses in Calgary. Those who know me (and my family) will definitely want to check it out. According to his last posts, he’s going through a bit of a rough time right now, and could use some peer support.

Aliens make good Scientific Sense!

Rather than putting forth my own logical arguments, I’ll let you hear from the experts. The following is cited from this 'ET Visitors: Scientists See High Likelihood'. Which was referenced across the web, and also printed on space.com, UFO Evidence, Exopolitics, Falun Dafa, Global Conspiracies, and many other cites.

'Recent astrophysical discoveries suggest that we should find ourselves in the midst of one or more extraterrestrial civilizations. Moreover, it is a mistake to reject all UFO reports since some evidence for the theoretically-predicted extraterrestrial visitors might just be found there.

"We are in the curious situation today that our best modern physics and astrophysics theories predict that we should be experiencing extraterrestrial visitation, yet any possible evidence of such lurking in the UFO phenomenon is scoffed at within our scientific community," contends astrophysicist Bernard Haisch. [emphasis added]

The scientists point to two key discoveries made by Australian astronomers and reported last year that there is a "galactic habitable zone" in our Milky Way Galaxy. And more importantly that Earth's own star, the Sun, is relatively young in comparison to the average star in this zone -- by as much as a billion years.
Therefore, the researchers explain in their JBIS article that an average alien civilization would be far more advanced and have long since discovered Earth.[emphasis added]

“I have seen people get confused by Venus or even Sirius when it is flashing colors low in the sky under the right conditions. Having been turned off by this, most scientists never bother to look any further, and so are simply blissfully ignorant that there may be more to it” [emphasis added]
“It would take some humility for the scientific community to suspend its judgment and take at least some of the high quality reports seriously enough to investigate."
“[However], a ‘yes’ to ET visitation is exactly what side our current physics and astrophysics theories would come down on as the most likely situation," Haisch concluded.'
