Killing April…

Just a couple more hours until April is DEAD!
(For another year at least)

Tonight I will celebrate by watching Hitchhikers!

Here are the procrastination tools that got me through this slag of a month.

How good is your geography? Do you know all the countries in Europe? Here is fun and educational way to practice your geography. Play today, play often.

Strategy & puzzle games. The blob game. I can beat the AI now, but it’s a little harder than it looks. The pearl game. Angela found this for us. It took awhile, but I can beat this guy too. Fun game.

Also: Bullet Time fighting. A very silly game. Quite easy. Pretty fun.
Of course, there’s a million others you can find at this site.

Additionally, Mush and Super D have started a interesting new blog, check it out: base rates

In May, hopefully I will post some of the religion posts I’ve been promising Darren… Though it has been fun making him wait. :)

My Life as News

Politics & World News. In the spirit of War on Iraq, War on Terror, and War on Drugs, I think is high time we launch a War on Bullies. We all know how troublesome life on the playground can be. And we all know violence is the best solution to any problem. It’s time the bullies be held accountable for their crimes against humanity! It will be impetus for our next logical step: War Against Dysfunctional Families. Here’s a link to go along with my sarcasm.

Religion. Proof of God. Actually, more of an argument that the universe comes from one source… But it’s a good start (thanks Alison).

Sports. Yes! I got to play in the ball hockey tournament. 2 games. I sucked in the first, but we won anyway. I did rocked in the second, but we lost anyway. Go figure. Sorry, no pictures.

Entertainment. Talking about entertainment, it’s been almost a year since Marsha and I have done any singing. Can anyone recommend good choirs in the Halifax region?

Personals & Romance. My World of Warcraft Night Elf rogue is looking for a new romance. Her old boyfriend no longer comes online. She has pale skin, long green hair, stands about 210 pixels tall, and has a nice figure. Her hobbies include skinning, leatherworking, walks on the beach, waving at other players, and killing members of the Horde. Interested? You’ll find her on Warsong server: fishing and looting murlocs.

Computers & Technology. I’ve decided that I’m ¾ done posting for the month April. Because:

Sub BlogPosting()
____‘ Macro for blog posting.
____Dim month As CurrentMonth()
____month = 1 ‘ Start on January
____For Counter = 1 To 6 ‘ 6 seems like a good upper limit
________MsgBox “For the month of “ & month & “ you need to post” & _

____________counter & “ times!”
________month = month + 1
____Next Counter
____‘ … Yes I’ve been doing some programming in VBA for Acadia’s Chaplain.
End Sub

Hockey for me?

Looks like I may have been too quick to lament... It seems my team may be able to sneak me on for some games... which would be super fun!

Of course, it's inconvenient because it disrupts my academic schedule, but some things are worth it (especially when they only happen once a year).

I'll get to play the last game in the round-robin, and semi-finals and finals (if we go that far!)... Of course, we're missing some of our l33t players from last year, so we'll have our work cut us for us!

Game on.

... No hockey for me! (my rant)

The organizers of Acadia's annual ball hockey tournament have done it again!
They've again found a way to exclude me for the tournament by having the tournament during the week instead of on the weekend, so that I'd have to make the 1 hour drive everynight of the week instead of once for the usual all day event Saturday.

In my 5 years at Acadia they managed to spoil my attempts to get involved EVERY year, with the exception of last year, when I learned that getting involved is simply a matter of stocking, bribing and black-mailing the right people. Unfortunately this year, being removed from campus I didn't have the resources available for significant amounts of bribing and stocking.

Anyway, I could go on and on about why the organizers are terrible, but instead I'll tell you about the one year when we DID get to play:

... What was my one year in the sun (and it was very sunny) like? Well... as I'm sure would have happened ANY year we were allowed to play, my team of elite players made it straight to the finals, and only coughed up in overtime against the team of Axemen (varsity) players. There were a number of factors contributing to our failure to win it all: I am somewhat to blame, but I'm sure the fact the #&%ing organizers turned the final prize into alcohol (and half my team were teetotalers) didn't help!

Here is a picture of some of our players from last year. I'm the one in the bad shorts.
(Absent from photo: my cousin Chris, goalie Lann, and Captain Pat)
